I think we may have finally turned the corner for some spring weather!!! The kids and honestly, myself included, have been waiting patiently….and sometimes not so patiently!!!
Just a heads up that our library time for THIS WEEK ONLY has been changed to Monday. It will probably change again once the fourth grade starts M-Step testing. I will certainly keep you updated as changes happen.
Have a great weekend!!!
Elijah was our star student this week. We learned that he LOVES Star Wars, reading and video games, he would like to save the world from pollution, and wants to be a comic book writer when he grows up (or a park ranger). We enjoyed getting to know Elijah better this week!
I thought this picture was fitting as I sit here updating the blog and it’s snowing!!! I hope that you all had a great spring break and feel rested and ready to tackle the last 8 weeks of the school year. The biggest news I want to pass along is the dates of the M-Step for your third grader. We test May 14-25. Your child will be taking a test in reading and math, both typically take about three days to test with 2 hours of testing a day. We have been doing some review in class to get your child ready for test day. I have no doubt that they will do just fine and really want to make this as stress-free as possible for your child. Please let me know if you have any questions.
I have also updated the blog with birthdays and star students. Click on the link to see the updated newsletter as well: newsletter 4:13:18
Have a great week! Fingers crossed for warmer weather!!!
We celebrated three birthdays this week! Kyler celebrated his birthday during spring break, but was kind enough to bring in a treat on Monday.
Emma’s birthday was on Monday, our first day back from break. She was also kind enough to bring a treat on Monday. A nice way to come back from break.
Connor’s birthday is today, on our early release day. What a great way to spend a birthday…..no school in the afternoon!
Hope you all had a great day!
Shaun celebrated his birthday on the last day of March, when many of us were heading out for our spring break! We did celebrate his birthday early on Thursday, and Shaun brought in some yummy Easter egg treats. We hope you had a great day!
Wyatt was our star student this week. We learned that Wyatt likes the color green, playing on his I-pad, and reading Percy Jackson books. If he could star in a movie, it would be about football. We enjoyed getting to know Wyatt better this week.
Morgan was our star student this week. We learned she likes fishing, hunting, dance, and cooking. Her favorite color is blue and she likes corn on the cob. She wants to be a dance teacher when she grows up. We enjoyed getting to know Morgan better this week.
Jesse was our star student this week. We learned that he likes Batman books, playing games and Legos, the color blue, and wishes for all dogs to have a family. (How sweet is that?!) We enjoyed getting to know Jesse better this week.
Emma was our star student this week. We learned that Emma likes coloring, softball, fishing, and cooking. She would love to live on a farm someday to take care of the animals. She also wants to go morel (mushroom) hunting. Hope you find some! We enjoyed getting to know Emma better this week.
We welcomed in the month of March by celebrating Bethany’s birthday. She treated all of us to a yummy treat of frosted cookies. We hope you had a great day Bethany!
